General Information about the Department

Industrial Engineering Department was established in 1997 as one of the first two engineering departments in the Faculty of Engineering at Çankaya University. Among the non-profit private universities in Turkey, it is the second industrial engineering department producing undergraduate program graduates.

Industrial Engineering department offers Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Master of Science (M.S.) degrees. Our undergraduate program was first accredited in May 1, 2013 by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs (MÜDEK) and awarded the First Cycle EUR-ACE Certificate, and has been accredited and certified since then. Our dedication to quality education has been rewarded with an extension of the MÜDEK accreditation and the award of First Cycle EUR-ACE Certificate until September 30, 2023.

Our undergraduate program strives to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to address organizational and industrial problems. Primary areas of interest are analysis, design, planning, management, operation and control of manufacturing and service systems.

The undergraduate program is based on mathematics, basic sciences and engineering analysis. In addition, students are encouraged to improve their background and skills in management, humanities, and social sciences. Graduates have the opportunity to participate in employment in both private and public sectors.
